Understand that Elon Musk’s success isn’t:
❌ Just about having a lot of money
❌ Merely being a genius
❌ Pure luck
❌ Following conventional wisdom
❌ Being fearless
But, it is:
✅ Reasoning from first principles
✅ Constantly testing and adjusting hypotheses
✅ Embracing failure as a learning tool
✅ Challenging conventional wisdom
✅ Having a clear vision and relentless drive
Your approach to success helps to answer these questions:
1. How can I think more innovatively?
2. What steps can I take to achieve my goals?
3. How do I handle setbacks effectively?
Remember: Think like a scientist, not a follower.

Business ideas are a dime a dozen.
99.9% of people have {a large number} of them.
But an idea is pretty meaningless if you don't bring it to life.
If you're stuck, here's how to begin:
1. Choose One Idea:
Pick something you've considered building. It could be anything:
- {Product/Service 1}
- {Product/Service 2}
- {Product/Service 3}
- {Product/Service 4}
Anything. Just pick the one idea that most resonates with you.
2. Do Some Quick Research:
Go to a site like {Research Tool} and start plugging in keywords.
What questions are people asking on {a popular question platform}?
Use advanced {Social Media Platform 1} and {Social Media Platform 2} search to find people talking about the topic. What are they trying to figure out?
This will give you a sense of what challenges people have.
3. Create a Simple Plan:
- What are the business goals?
- What are the important milestones?
- What are your critical daily actions?
4. Start Small:
Don't immediately start selling. Create some useful content that leads people on a journey.
You move your customer through stages by answering these questions:
- Problem unaware: Do I have a problem?
- Problem aware: Is there a solution?
- Solution aware: Do you have a solution?
- Product aware: Why your solution?
5. Evaluate & Adjust: Refine as you go.
After {a time period}, check to see what's working and what isn't working.
Do 2x more of what is.
Stop doing what isn't.
Remember - building a business isn't about having endless ideas.
It's about actioning your idea to make it grow.
Good luck.

{Social Media Platform} is evolving. ⚠️ (heads up, everyone)
If you're experiencing low reach lately, read on...
What I'm about to share applies to all users of this platform. Hopefully, this post will help you revisit your content strategy + plan for the future.
1. Heavy focus on {Feature Focus}
If you're not using {Feature or Service} yet, you'll be missing some features moving forward. Most important:
- The ability to send MORE {Action 1}
- Including your {Action 2} in the main feed
(these are both super important)
2. {Event at the Platform}
Whenever a platform "loses" a lot of people, to me, it signals one thing → {Inferred Conclusion}.
(This means even more focus on {Feature or Service})
I wouldn't be surprised if we see a "{New Feature}" paid feature for users (not businesses) soon.
3. Organic reach keeps dropping
There's been a significant drop in reach in {Recent Time Period} vs. {Comparison Time Period} (let alone {Another Comparison Time Period}).
My advice: just learn to accept that everyone here is at the mercy of the algorithm. No one gets special treatment. The only ones who should get it?
Your followers. Your community.
Treat your comments as a "funnel." Make your audience feel "seen." Then, treat DMs as the furthest part of that funnel. This is where the magic is.
Relationships first. Numbers second.
Bonus tip: Optimize your profile for 1 specific action
Need more {Desired Outcome}? Make everything on your profile point to "{Action for Desired Outcome}."
4. Good news for "smaller" accounts
If you have less than {Follower Threshold} followers, chances are you still have "viral potential" on {Social Media Platform}. {Research Source}'s latest algo study also shows that:
- Most "under {Lower Follower Threshold}" accounts still get good reach
- Most "above {Higher Follower Threshold}" accounts have lowered reach
(Small accounts is where the magic is)
For anyone else reading this, go and support some new "small" creators (under {Support Follower Threshold} followers).
They're the future stars here!
5. Stop complaining → start experimenting
{Social Media Platform} will keep updating. We'll keep adapting.
- Try out some new post formats for you
- Try writing longer-form content
- Try posting a video (if you've never done one)
Also, don't underestimate the power of live events. {Recommended Live Event Feature} events are my recommendation.
(Keep building YOUR community)
Summary:
Most will continue to complain. They won't adapt.
My advice to you is: "enjoy the journey."
The algorithm doesn't care.
Simple {Number}-step strategy moving forward:
1. Get {Feature or Service} to enjoy all its features
2. Focus on comments + DMs more than ever
3. Optimize your profile for 1 specific action
4. Support smaller creators (under {Support Follower Threshold})
5. Keep experimenting with formats
Happy {Social Media Platform}-ing, friends!
Hope this helps.
Disclaimer:
All of the above is based completely on my own understanding of this platform after building a following of {Number of Followers} and spending {Number of Years} years in {Field}. I've seen platforms evolve time and time again. Trends will be trends :) Time to adapt.

And, {Technology} helps you create {Content Type} faster.
When using {Technology}, we found that you can write {Content Type}, post it into a {Platform}, and publish it all within {X minutes}.
Humans, on the other hand, took an average of {Y minutes}.
But there are some issues that most people don’t talk about.
The first is {Technology} takes what’s on the web and 'regurgitates' the same old info. People want to read something new…
The second is we found that {Percentage}% of the time human-written {Content Type} outranked {Technology}-created {Content Type}.

We had {Number of Websites} websites create {Content Type}… {Number of Articles} articles to be exact, and each site published both {Technology} content and human-written content.
You can see over time the human-written content generated way more traffic.
And then, when you look at how much traffic was generated versus time spent… even though it took less time to crank out {Technology} content, human-written content generated more traffic per minute spent.
Now, does this mean that you should never use {Technology} to help you with your {Content Type}?
Well no… in the future, {Technology} will get better. It’s just not there yet for {Content Type} creation.
And second, there are purposes for it… like it could help you do research faster.
But using it for writing {Content Type} isn’t that effective, at least in its current form.

You're wasting your time on {activity}.
Yes, there are {number} {actions} on {platform} each day, which means there is a lot of potential {result} for you to get.
But over the last {time period}, {percentage}% of the {items} indexed in {platform} got 0 {results}.
Chances are, you are going to be in the {percentage}% bucket.
So, does this mean you shouldn’t do {activity}?
No, it just means you are doing it wrong.
The old way of doing {activity}, which is what most entities focus on is…
They use tools to see what {metrics} their competition has that they don’t.
They then create {content} around those {metrics} using {method 1} or {method 2}.
Then they build some {actions} and expect to get {results}.
That’s why most {entities} don’t succeed in {activity}. That model doesn’t work.
{Activity} is valuable and worth doing ONLY IF you do it right.
What’s the right way?
First, when you are using tools like {Tool 1} and {Tool 2}, you need to look for {metrics} that aren’t competitive and have a high {value metric}.
Getting {results} is great, but without {conversion metric} those {results} are useless.
{Metrics} that have a high {value metric} tend to drive more {conversion metric}.
Second, you have to have something new to say.
It’s hard to {achieve result} if you are just copying {entities}. Come up with something new.
Third, you have to build a brand. If you look at a lot of the {entities}, they are brands.
You don’t have to have a big brand like {Big Brand 1} or {Big Brand 2}, you just need to have somewhat of a brand within your niche.
Use {Channel 1}, {Channel 2}, and other channels to help build your brand. It will boost your {activity}.
Fourth, you have to keep updating your {content}.
{Example} ranks well because its content is continually updated.
Fifth, you have to go where your competition isn’t willing to put in the time.
For example, {percentage} of the {actions} on {platform} have never been {actioned} before.
Use tools like {Tool 3} to find new {metrics}, based on what is up and coming, to get ahead of your competition.
Sixth, you have to think outside the box.
Back in the day, I used to create {Strategy 1} to build {result}.
These days I give away {Strategy 2} to build {result}.
It’s way easier than {action}.
Seventh, you have to keep improving your {aspect} and doing {activity}.
We just worked with a company and helped them rank ahead of {Competitor} for “{Competitor} related terms”. That’s incredible considering they are a much smaller company with a tiny brand in comparison.
They stopped the contract… mainly because they felt it could be set on autopilot.
If you aren’t continually updating your {content} and striving to do better, even if you already claim the top spot, eventually you will lose it.

"If you're engaging in {activity}, consider the volume of content published on each platform DAILY:

- {Platform 3} – {Number 3}
- {Platform 4} – {Number 4}
- {Platform 5} – {Number 5}

Note that in the last {time period}, we analyzed {number of posts} {type of content}, and {percentage}% of them had no {type of engagement}.
When you post content, it's likely it will be lost in the vastness of content.
Should you then stop creating {type of content} for {platforms}?
No, you should create content because it's a vital channel to market a {company/product/service/personal brand}.
Instead, adjust your strategy.
Merely replicating what is popular on these platforms doesn't yield as much success as one might expect.
Here's what you should consider:
1. Introduce something new and fresh that hasn't been seen before.
2. Express your own opinion to make your content distinctive.
3. Ensure your content provides value, whether through education, stats, or data, so people gain something.
4. Align with trends only if they relate to your industry.
5. Collaborate with peers in your domain to extend your reach, even if they don't have a large following.
6. Share personal experiences, as they are difficult for others to replicate.
7. Tailor your content to the preferences of each network, as illustrated in the provided chart."

"I've got bad news.
That {type of resource} you're {consuming activity}?
It doesn't have all the answers.
It's simply a collection of someone else's knowledge that is generally meaningless unless acted upon.
The move from consuming knowledge to action on knowledge is transformative.
Once you start taking action, you'll realize that hands-on experience teaches you lessons that no {same type of resource} can capture.
So should you stop {same consuming activity}?
Of course not. {Consuming activity} is magnificent.
But the path to actual mastery is paved with real-world experience.
I think it’s time we all became more skeptical about the advice we read, and start learning what actually works for {personal pronoun}.
I wrote “{Title of a Guide}” which talks about how I learn: {Link}

Version 1 (Professional):
"Why do I have to pick a {specific focus}? {Example company} didn’t have to pick a {specific focus}!" - every {role} ever.
Every {type of organization} that’s doing something new faces a challenge when moving from risk-tolerant early adopters to risk-averse mainstream {target audience}.
How do I (the {role}) convince the latter to take a bet on my small, unproven {type of organization}?
Unlike early adopters, the early mainstream {target audience} wants much more than {basic offering}.
They want:
→ {requirement 1}
→ {requirement 2}
→ {requirement 3}
→ {requirement 4}
→ {requirement 5}
→ {requirement 6}
→ {requirement 7}
All these factors reduce the perceived risk of investing time and energy into a {type of organization}.
This jump from {group 1} (who are happy to shoulder the burden of the above list) to the {group 2} (who are not) has been called the "{term}" — a concept popularized by {originator}.
The traditional path to winning the hearts of the {target group} is by picking a niche segment and simply delivering the “{comprehensive product}” for them (i.e., the {basic offering} and everything from the list above).
The reason you can only do this for one niche at a time is because each segment needs a different set of requirements beyond the {basic offering} itself — and no small {type of organization} can deliver multiple different “{comprehensive product}” at once.
Examples of companies that grew from this strategy are {Example 1}, {Example 2} (as you can hear about in an excellent episode of {Reference Source}), and {Example 3}.
However, there is another way that companies cross the {term}:
They can borrow credibility from millions and millions of passionate users acquired from a more horizontal {strategy type} approach.
It’s one thing to approach a {target audience} and say “take a bet on us”...
…and another to say “{percentage} of your {group} ALREADY use us.”
The {strategy type} approach has been used very effectively by companies like {Company 1}, {Company 2}, and {Company 3}.
The goal is to get so many users that you’re a household name by the time you approach the majority for more end-to-end adoption.
An added benefit — the passionate community effectively creates the “{comprehensive product}” for you (as we see with the countless user-generated {resources}, trainings, etc. created by {Company 1} and {Company 2} users).
This second approach requires:
1) A fast time to value for individual and team users.
2) That can adopt the product self-serve.
3) And be reached through highly leveraged, viral distribution mechanisms.
4) And ultimately lead to millions and millions of users.

"{Tool} is my creative partner, not my opponent. These ten prompting principles help me use it to the fullest:
1. Use positive language: If I ask you not to think of {negative example}, you'll probably think of {negative example}. {Tool} works the same way. Focus on the desired outcome.
2. Use synonyms: Don't give up on your prompt if you're not satisfied with the results. Try replacing one of the keywords. For instance, "Give me 10 facts about {topic 1}" could yield different results than "Give me 10 facts about {topic 2}."
3. Ask for bullet points: {Tool} can be quite verbose. Adding "use short bullet points" to your prompts ensures concise results.
4. Ask for sources and links: When researching with {Tool}, instruct it to "add links" or "cite your sources" to verify the information.
5. Be specific: Generic prompts produce generic responses. Provide detailed instructions on what you need.
6. Ask for art, not ads: Instead of asking for {content type 1}, ask for {content type 2}. {Tool}'s copy can lack creativity because of training on decades of {negative training context}. For more creative responses, ask for {content type 2}.
7. Give context: Provide {Tool} with ample background information. Even if something has been mentioned before, repeat it. Consider it as a "Previously on" for AI.
8. Focus on one task: Requesting one thing at a time yields more precise and comprehensive answers.
9. Play pretend: While interviewing real people is better, if you lack the time or resources, {Tool} can simulate anyone you need. Use it to step into your customers' shoes and understand their perspective.
10. Create visuals: {Tool} can assist you with prompts for {image generation tools}. The word "Describe" is crucial here. For example, "describe a photograph of a {visual example}" will help establish a solid foundation for your prompt."

5. Invite comments by asking P.S. questions
Never:
1. Waffle = wait too long for the main part
2. Write longer than 3-line paragraphs
3. Include more than 1 main point
4. Include 'irrelevant' photos
5. Ask more than you give
Bonus: Avoid 'bait and switch' tactics. If your post is on X topic and then you jump into sales mode with a 'DM me' call-to-action... your post just failed.

Quitting your {current profession} to go solo doesn't mean things will be easier and rosier. 😅
Last week, my "How I quit my {profession}" post resonated with a lot of people.
So I'll be honest with you, am I happier?
Yes but:

Yes, it's better in a lot of aspects (more {positive aspect 1}, more {positive aspect 2}, less {negative aspect}, etc).

I didn't quite know the pressure that was on me. I said I would revolutionize the tech industry, and it was on me to do so.
That's precisely what I'm doing with this venture. How?
- Asking for help when I need it.
- Thinking about strategic planning.
- Hiring the right people for the right job.
- Implementing strategies to help with growth.
This, by far, has been my best endeavor to date.
But what's even better is helping others do the same.
Yes, you'll have some hiccups along the way, but you'll learn so much in this time and continue to do so every single day.
Tech startups are the best kind of projects.

2) Start being {productive habit}.
Last {time period}, I made a big mistake. I mixed these two up.

Let's just say a massive lesson was learnt for me.
I know that, as a {role or position}, you want to {common desire}.
